Minnesota State University Moorhead 2018 Red River Valley Physics and Astrophysics Undergraduate Research Symposium

Oral presentations:

Audio-visual capabilities: Hagen Hall 325 is equipped with Mac computer (VGA or HDMI), projector, document camera, sound system, and internet (Eduroam network). You may project from you own laptop if you prefer. This year the format will be a 20 minute presenation with 10 minutes for questions. For your presentation, the moderator will introduce you, and give you a signal during your talk when you have 1 minute left. Practice your talk ahead of time and work at staying within the time limit. Do your best to capture the main idea in a way that undergraduates without your expertise could understand.

Poster presentations:

Posters will be set up in the hallway on Hagen third floor. Easels, a cardboard support, and clips will be in the hallway for you to support your poster. The poster session will last 1.5 hours. Talk with your advisor about the best way to organize the information in your poster. It helps to prepare a brief 2-3 minute overview of your work that you practice ahead of time. Based on this and your poster content, people can then ask about the details.
